One of the reasons as to why I visited Jodhpur was the Blue City, originally set up for the Brahman. The walls were painted by indigo blue not only for religious reason but also it cpuld serve as insect repellents. Unfortunately, while walking through the small alleys at blue city, I saw many trash. What a pity!

Situated literally on the edge of the Thar desert, Jodhpur is the second largest city in Rajasthan. Jodhpur is also named the Blue City as the houses in the old quarter are in varying shades of blue. There isn't a shortage of majestic forts and palaces, havelis, colours, spices and fabrics to leave you with a wow experience in the city.
