I LOVE ILOILO, not just because its my home. We have a combination of the old and the new, from centuries-old churches, American-era architecture to the booming infrastructure development now. On top of it all is our heritage of food.

Iloilo is filled with great foods such as batchoy, pancit molo (my favorite!), barquillos, piyaya, etc. It also has a lot of foreign restaurants that you need to try. :3
The city is thriving and the people are nice. Fluent English speakers are everywhere and you can find cheap souvenir shops. Iloilo Central Market is famous for its affordable souvenirs and other hand crafted products.
You can take a walk while enjoying the cool breeze in Iloilo Esplanade.
And if you want a night life, go and have lots of fun at the Small Ville where you get to party 24/7!
Iloilo has Dinagyang festival every January and Paraw Regatta for February.
You can also try visiting all the amazing churches all over Iloilo especially the Guimbal church. It has lovely architectural design and is very old. :)

Never expected that Iloilo is nice. Too many places to go to! And the Old Houses! But there are turn offs with this City. Really disappoints me.
