Magnificent nature and immaculate intertwined city. You can take long walks by the ocean, lush nature or by the river. In the afternoon, you can start your eyes at the point where the river meets the ocean and you can open your eyes in the morning in the Netherlands.

Newcastle is pretty amazing and the museums are worth going to - especially outside of school hours. There's Hadrian's Wall and some great Roman camp sites - with most foundations still in tact - it's a little spooky. Also pretty affordable, has an amazing Music venue and would recommend smaller local hotel rather than a chain.

Newcastle is a city in north east England with an industrial past which has been in decline recently. We were here because it is the end point for Hadrian's Wall. The city itself has an ancient Roman past.
