Hays is a rural Kansas town on I-70 and a stopping point for seeing the sites in the mid-section of Kansas. Disability access and disability parking is provided depending what activities you choose.

Nicer place to stop in some ways than Salina, especially if you're looking for a place where kids and dogs can get out and look around. Mostly a regional city with some college students, a lot of shopping, and the obligatory truck stops.

Hays is a constantly growing city. It is home to Fort Hays State University and therefore has a large number of college age residents. Hays also serves as the largest city in northwest Kansas and plays host to the shopping needs of the surrounding 50+ miles. The constant work to revitalize the Chestnut Street District is just one way the city encourages entrepreneurs.

Flyover country? Not if you slow down to the small town pace and enjoy the simple life, the simple things like a warm summer evening with fireflies... 5-Stars ? Yea, hometown bias ;-)
