Center City Lancaster is filled with so much to see and do. It’s got a real good food scene and the downtown is lively. Yes there are homeless people. This is a real city and a terrific one at that. Great arts scene too.
Lancaster County is a beautiful place with rolling farmlands, and horse and buggys.
Lancaster is a town of about sixty thousand people. it is scenic and picturesque, and I will never forget the one and only time I visited the city some years ago. It is home to the 15th President of the United States (James Buchanan, who was one of our nation's less memorable Presidents), and the abolitionist, Thaddeus Stevens, one of the most powerful Republican Congressman of the so-called, "Radical Republicans" of post-American Civil War America. Also, Robert Fulton inventor of the steam engine was from Lancaster. Lancaster was famous for being the place where FW Woolworth opened up his first "five-and-dime store." The city is chock full of American history, and well worth a visit.
I was born in Ephrata, just outside of lancaster city. It is an amazing and beautiful county within itself. The culture, the people, the food, and everything inbetween ia worth visiting. But, outside of those aspects, the area itself is memorable within itself
