Just over an hour’s drive will find you in Traverse City. One of the prettiest areas in Michigan grows lots of cherries, has small wine producers, and sits on a gorgeous bay. There's also farm-to-table restaurants and a cute downtown. A good place to spend a long weekend.
Traverse City is a major city on the western end of Michigan and direct access to National Park unit Sleeping Bear Dunes National Shore. It also is great cherry and wine region. Disability access and disability parking vary due to activities you choose. You could spend 3 days and still have things to do.
