Not the easiest place to get to, but well worth the extra effort. Absolutely gorgeous small seaside town with breathtaking views on the hills a short walk from town. Seems to be a rather affluent Irish city. A dozen bars, many with live music, provide enough of a nightlife. Surprisingly good food too, both modern and traditional Irish, heavy on the seafood.
Probably my favourite coastal Irish village. Great shops, amazing ceramics gallery, nice people.
Kinsale was a quaint, lovely town famous for making their own delicious beer and having loads of renown chefs serving excellent meals. Will return to enjoy more. Very photogenic streets and friendly pubs.
This out-of-the-way hamlet combines the quaint and quiet quality of an Irish village straight out of a Maeve Binchy novel with the laid back essence of a beach community (appropriate, as it is located on a bay). Perfectly picturesque at any time of the year, the town presents a slew of outdoor artisan markets and festivals that exemplify the "Top o' the mornin'!" nature of it's inhabitants
