Women generally noted that "Egyptian men can be aggressive," "especially in crowded markets." One visitor noted that her “female guide would not visit the markets... because the merchants would harass her mercilessly if (the tourists) didn't stop at their stalls.” It's important to “respect the local dress norms -- covering shoulders and knees -- or very loose clothing that covers wrists and ankles — and do your best to blend in.” Additionally, “attracting attention, especially for clothing, can be very uncomfortable.”

I know what you’re thinking - Egypt? Really Graham? Hasn’t Egypt as a travel destination already been done to death (on the Nile)?? Yes it has, since possibly before the time of Herodotus. But the fact remains: Egypt is still as much of an adventure now as it was 3,000 years ago. Pyramids older than time, ancient temples and monuments that would take a lifetime to explore, the delights of the Red Sea and the eerie isolation of the Eastern Sahara – it just can’t be beaten. Given the current political instability, you’ll pretty much have the place to yourself. Just be careful, okay?

The 14 days trip in Egypt is my best trip ever. We traveled along the Nile river. The stunning pyramids and Citadel in Cairo, Sapphire blue Mediterranean sea in Alexandria, the peaceful and quiet town of Aswan, and the magnificent Karnak Temple in Luxor..... Everyday we were walking through a whole new world, a different fragment of history. Even though I have left, some part of my heart stays there.

[ The Mystery of Egyptian Spices ]
At least that's what I always say! It’s a delight to try different tastes within oriental dishes and meals you get while traveling abroad. But what makes the Egyptian cuisine tastes or smells really good is adding some extra secrets while cooking. Unlike Indian or chinese cuisines, Egyptian food won't be very hot or spicy, but it is quite essential to Egyptian cuisine to add spices while cooking. While it is known that Egyptians live to eat rather than eat to live, the Egyptian cuisine is one of the rarest and most delicious around the world. Spices are enriched with a slight chili taste and vibrant smells that revives in anyone a monstrous appetite.
- Secrets Revealed about the Egyptian Cuisine -
The magical influence of Egyptian cuisine to getting into a state of fullness and joy, is due to the Egyptians’ artisitc ability of cooking, keeping the old mixtures of spices and herbs that goes back to Pharaonic traditions in baking and cooking practices in ancient Egypt. Those oriental recipes have held their components to this today with some additions and medical discoveries they’ve just kept Egyptian's eating habits more delightful.

Loved, loved, loved being in Egypt, touring all the wonderful and amazing places, temples, etc! Went for 5 weeks and ended up staying almost 4 months!!! Had to leave because summer was coming (too hot for my tastes), but otherwise, I may have extended my stay even longer!

I went to Egypt back in 2004 and it is an amazing country. The pyramids and sphinx were architectural masterpieces and visiting the ancient burial tombs were mind boggling. I also got to experience the Nile river via a cruise which was alot of fun. The people were friendly and the food interesting. It was interesting to see how one part of the city could be very westernized while other parts still resemble a third world country.
