People often say some of the best restaurants are hole in the walls. This tiny brunch spot hidden in an alleyway of the famed Saint-Germain-des-Prés area was phenomenal. Their Eggs Benedict is the best one I've had to date and I've tried multiple places that sell Eggs Benedict and nothing comes close to this place. While living in Paris, it became one of my go to spots. When my mother came to visit, she even made me go to it three times. I can't recommend this place enough!
Great brunch spot with an amazing deal! The food is tasty, coffee is good and the juice is fresh. Highly recommend if you are looking for a great brunch spot.
Absolutely loved this breakfast and brunch spot. Excellent value for the money - 20 EUR gets you coffee, juice, eggs Benedict, pancake and fruit for one price. The food was really good (although not better than some of the great brunch spots in San Francisco) - but the friendly service and the fun hidden location make for a good morning meal. Make sure to watch out for the extra short ceilings!
Three words: brunch and coffee. Seriously this place is a little gem hidden off the Rue de Rennes in Saint-Germain-des-Pres, although despite the fact it's hidden it's usually very busy so try and head over earlier or later than the typical peak times. Eggs & Co has amazing friendly staff and baristas who know how to serve coffee- proper coffee. Then add to that the fact they serve up some amazing breakfast meals: pancakes, omelettes, eggs benedict, boiled eggs and then they offer bacon and smoked salmon dishes too. I love the eggs benedict teamed with a latte, it's out of this world!
I'm always stunned when people say Parisians are rude as I've had such great experiences with servers and restaurant owners in Paris. Eggs & Co. exemplified that. My friend and I had brunch and she's gluten-free which according to their brunch menu was going to be tricky. The owner went out of his way to cater for her even changing the salad dressing. The food was solid and tasty. I found it a bit expensive for brunch (22-30 euros) but it's Paris. Would happily pay for it again but know that it's a tiny place and unless you want to sit at the tiny bar like we did, be prepared to hang out in the alley with your coffee for 20-40 minutes.
