Sandbar Sports Grill

This place has a very, very local feel to it. Good burger and fries, and an okay beer selection.

I enjoy the vibe, the staff, and the affordable prices. Definitely packed during the high-tourist season, or during the summer, but one of the better (of only a few spots) right in the Mission Beach boardwalk area. Come here for taco Tuesday, you won't be disappointed.

Need an inexpensive burger and beer while you're in Mission beach? Then you cant go wrong here. The atmosphere here is great, the rooftop seating is a great way to enjoy being at the beach. Food is good not the best quality but for the price it is worth it! And not to mention you are steps away from the beach

I don't know what I love more about Sandbar: the fact that it is steps from Misson Beach or it's dynamite fish tacos. Fortunately, I don't have to choose because I can sit in their outdoor (shaded) seating area or up on the rooftop deck and nosh on their mahi mahi tacos while gazing at the beach and the eclectic people passing by. This no frills, laid back, beachside sports bar is the bomb. It has awesome happy hour specials M-F from 4-7. When I went they had $2.50 tacos all day long, which was the best news for me because they are ridiculously good. Sandbar boasts that they were voted the "Best Fish Taco" at the beach, but I would like to nominate them as the best fish taco in all of San Diego. Whatever their secret marinade is should remain a secret because it's kick-ass. So grab some friends, watch the games, drink some beers, eat some tacos and then hit the beach (or vice versa) for a perfect beach spent day.
