Get a relaxing massage at the spa or do some horseback riding. Organic restaurant.
You set the pace here at this stunning resort. With a large selection of activities such as Texas Two-step, yoga, horseback riding, zip line & cooking classes!
The property is surrounded by gorgeous green grounds, muted solid wood and stone decor and stunning views from every balcony!
The beds are dreamy and the staff is just the friendliest around. You will certainly feel relaxed here!
I wouldn't recommend kids here per say, but it's lovely enough for them to stay entertained. Would be a great weekend getaway without the kiddos!
This property in the Texas Hill Country provides the full-service package that you would expect from an exclusive 5-star resort. They have a restaurant, spa, activities, and amenities galore, all on top of the luxurious rooms. They also have a resort in Hana, on the island of Maui that is stunning.
Check out the deck seating at the Restaurant with a hill country view. The lunch menu selections include duck sandwich, veggie cakes, other delights
The Spa at Travaasa offers a variety of massage and facial packages for off-site guests. We recommend the 'Total Travaasa Day' or 'Travaasa Spa'.
Despite only being a quick 30-minute drive from downtown, Travaasa Austin provides the opportunity, not only to relax, but to completely shed the inhibitions of daily city life. The resort and spa, nestled on a sprawling 210-acre nature preserve in the heart of the Hill Country, is a place where you can experience things you’ve heard about, but never had the chance to try, like slack lining, mechanical bull riding and even horse whispering, through a full itinerary of complementary cultural experiences.
Beautiful and tranquil place to unwind and take in the South.
It's about 30 minutes outside of Austin so you can drive to town if you want but, why would you when there are plenty of activities here... horseback riding, adventure course, archery, hiking and of course the spa.
Formerly known as The Crossings, Travaasa Austin is a large Resort and Spa for those looking to escape the world and spend time outside in a luxurious setting. There are seven lodges total with only 70 guest rooms on this Resort. Each lodge looks over Lake Travis and the Texas Hill Country. The setting is peaceful and quite stunning, but the rooms are a bit small. A fitness center, a pool, complimentary parking, WiFi, in-room safe, flat screen TVs, and even your own bathrobe are included in every stay. On site includes activities that one can enjoy: yoga classes, hiking, culinary classes, a challenge course for those wanting a great outside work-out, and even horseback riding! There is also a spa and a Cuisine providing fresh meals using organic foods from a nearby farm. The Resort is more like a camp for adults!
Great relaxing getaway...quaint and remote, amazing food! Good portion control and farm to market style.
Blending wellness and a sense of place, Travaasa is a holistic retreat with a spectacular location on the edge of the 24,000-acre Balcones Canyonland Preserve. It’s the kind of place where you can go for a gorgeous hike, take a cooking class, have a massage, and enjoy a gourmet farm-to-table meal all in the same day. Leave time to chill in the infinity pool, which delivers a panorama of the hill country landscape. The Total Travaasa price includes meals, snacks, and nonalcoholic beverages; challenge course, yoga, culinary, and other group classes; and a $125 resort credit good toward spa treatments, a private class, or golf.
Price Tag: Three-night stays from $313 per night per couple.
We looked all over for a place that fit the following criteria:
-really nice
-healthy but good food
-nice wines
-yoga and other fitness activities
-spa
Travassa is all of that and more. Most of the places we found that had yoga were spartan, served vegan food, and wine was out. Why can't you be fit, eat well, and relax in a comfortable environment?
The facilities are like new; rooms are large and have nice views into the trees or overlooking the hill country.
There are 10 or so daily activities each day that are included in price. These include yoga, pilates, hiking, core training, mechanical bull riding, meditation, and more. There is a Challenge Course where you climb up onto a structure and cross a series of suspended bridges and then zip-line back down.
The restaurant was very good. All meals indicate calorie and the breakdown of fat, sodium, etc.
The property is expansive with several hiking trails.
The staff was friendly and accommodating.
All-in-all, a wonderful place to relax and be fit.
