While thai food is abundant in Berlin, not always the quality of it leaves everyone happy. The truth is, it is easy to find below-average pad thais and, let’s face it, no one likes an average meal. Lemongrass however is one of those cheap and safe places, where you know that your curry will always be just the right amount of spicy, and where your noodles won’t disappoint you. Lemongrass isn’t trying to deceive you with fancy interiors: the seating area is small but the dishes are a good size. The menu is quite long and for every option available you can choose to add meat, fish or tofu.
The only Asian food I had in Berlin was at Lemongrass, which can be found along one of the main streets in the trendy Friedrichshain neighbourhood of the city. The majority of the dishes here are Thai inspired and is just about as close as you can get to the real thing. I was reliably informed by the staff that the tofu is particularly popular at Lemongrass, but I decided to opt for a Pad Thai instead, which was excellent.
