The nightlife in Byron Bay is sparse but this bar more than makes up for it. Cheeky Monkeys is the perfect spot to let loose and meet tons of new people. The bar has a casual vibe with lots of fun drinking game competitions that keep everyone entertained. Late at night everyone is dancing on the picnic tables and having a blast. Anyone I've ever met who's been to Byron Bay has been to Cheeky Monkeys and I agree everyone needs to experience this place at least once!

When we went there was a embarrassing 'fake orgasm' competition - the prize being free beer. Needless to say, this is a backpacker hangout through and through, but if you're between 18-25 this is definitely one of the best nights out on the Gold Coast.
