The music begins low, like a rumble, then works up to a louder crescendo as spectacular neon lights play across the Pyramids. Bathed in artificial luminescence, against the black backdrop of nightfall, the trio of ancient funeral chambers is brought to life. Since 1960, this one-hour light and laser show has been held at the Giza complex, taking the audience on a journey through time, in pictures. Listen to the soothing voice of the Sphinx as his narrative re-animates the Pharaohs and their deities, right before your very eyes.
I think if you were to choose seeing the pyramids during the day or at night, the sound and light show at night would be the way to go. At this time, the crowds are less hectic, the hagglers aren't as aggressive, and you can still see the pyramids well enough to get the gyst of how incredible they are. You may not get such a great look at the Sphinx, but I found that it wasn't as impressive as the pyramids anyway.
The Pyramids of Giza are, of course a must see. The evening Sound and Light Show is an excellent introduction. The evening is definitely cooler and the lighting is beautiful!
Sit quietly at the cafe and watch this light show. It will give you the feeling of going back in time to the ancient wonders.
it is really amazing to know the story ofthe pyramidsbuildingperiod specialy and mostof the haraonic history in general!!
you should to talk a lot of pictures there...!!
Highly recommend checking this out. When of the more spectacular things to see while in Cairo. It is also a family friendly event to attend. Maybe a little pricey but worth it If you are in the area visiting the Pyramids during the day, then go to dinner nearby and wait for the sun to go down and check this out.
