Bánh Mì Huỳnh Hoa

if you have been to Vietnam and haven't had a banh mi then have you really even been to Vietnam? This is the best banh mi we found in all of our time in Vietnam and we went back every day for four days straight.

There was always a long line at this little banh mi place whenever I passed by! The service is great, however, and the line moves fast. This isn't an ideal banh mi choice for vegetarians, but it's popular with locals and there's a variety of cold cuts and meats to go with your baguette.

These sandwiches are SO good. Packed full of different kinds of meat all piled on a lovely crusty baguette. You have to kind of shout your order when you arrive or at least get to the front because people are going to arrive and simply shout theirs, so if you're not a little pushy you'll be waiting a while (like I did). Beware - "spicy" is REALLY spicy.

This is my favorite and best Vietnamese sandwich in the city, if you don't eat spicy don't forget remind them don't put chili!

Best banh mi sandwich I've ever had. Wow for less then $2 usd i got a ginormous sandwich with an assortment of meats, pickled veggies and the freshest French baguette! A must visit when in Saigon! They make it right in front of you in within minutes! Opens at 2pm everyday!

While the freshly made pate, cured meats, and mayonnaise may be enough to delight the banh mi enthusiast... It's the bread that truly sets this sandwich apart. The center of the baguette is light and airy, while the crust is crispy and flakey. I maaaay have extended my stay in Saigon an extra day to get another :)
