In historic Chinatown this restaurant offers delicious asian/hawaiian fusion food.

Great bowls of noodles. The Duck rolls are delicious and the service is friendly and accommodating. Located in the heart of downtown at the edge of chinatown.

Lucky Belly, located in Honolulu Chinatown, is popular for very good reasons: delicious offerings and friendly service in a comfortable and modern dining area.

The décor may be minimalist but this Hawaiian ramen joint’s signature offering—the aptly named Beast Bowl—is anything but. After 48 hours of simmering, tonkotsu, miso, and goma (sesame) broths combine with al dente noodles, wakame seaweed, bean sprouts, ginger, and green onion. Then comes the soft-steamed egg, slow-cooked brisket, short ribs, and plump oxtail dumplings. A sprinkle of porcini dust finishes it off, a bomb of deep earthy aromas beckoning as it steams.

Wow, portions are huge! The lucky belly and beast ramen bowls were both amazing. For an average of $13 a bowl, this is a great ramen place. Have a few beer selections and a longer sake list.

Both bar and table seating. For such a small place, they sure did have a lot of staff. Felt crowded with 2 bartenders attending to our needs as well as 3 other waitresses. Seemed unnecessary.

Dropped by on Valentine's Day and they had open bar seating for walk ins! Prix Fixed dinner menu ($40) or with the wine pairing ($60). Hubby and I both opted for the fixed menu, choosing different appetizers and entrees to maximize tasting capacity.

The wine pairing was phenomenal. They serve the wine before the food comes out and some we tasted that puzzled our palettes. It was only when the food came out to actually pair with the wine did the light bulb go off and found the connection between food and wine. Divine.

Not to mention the awesome late night side booth for quick late night bites. A favorite of Chinatown and I now always recommend Lucky Belly.

A new local favorite! This ramen restaurant has a 1-page food menu, yet their drink offerings cover 4 pages. The pupus are delicious and the ramen bowls are huge, filling meals, but be warned - even the biggest bowl of ramen will get you through maximum 1 of the 4 pages of cocktails.

Sincerely a cool spot to go get ramen with a twist. Simple yet creative menu. Vast array of flavors and creativity. Reasonable prices. Lucky Belly has a very downtown SF vibe to it. Quick service and whole ingredients. Will definitely return!

food was prepared quickly and correctly with high quality ingredients. Feels like downtown San Francisco inside. Decent music choices, polite staff and a all around experience. I had the Belly Bowl and it was very satisfying and very filling. Ill definately return in the future.

On Chinatown's nightclub row along Hotel St, this hybrid ramen shop and Asian fusion bar livens up the eating scene. The Belly Bowl comes with bacon and pork belly, and almost everything on the menu has piggy (or else shrimp). The surprising star of the menu are the farm-fresh salads, which are large and eye-catchingly colorful. Look for the fun pop-art wall paintings of Japanese schoolgirls in uniform - they're almost psychedelic!

Still under a year old, it is already being billed as one of the best ramen spots in town, and in Honolulu that is a tough market to make a name in. It blends a San Francisco hipster, foodie vibe, with fresh local ingredients and flavors. Try the Maui Coconut Porter, the shrimp gyoza are spectacular, and Belly Bowl and the Shrimp Kim Chee ramen are delectable. It is open late night until midnight and "da window" stays open for take-out till 2:30am for the serious revelers. Check this place out fo' sure.

Im updating to reflect another visit. Everything I've had so far has been amazing. The brisket tarting is Amazing!! really streamlined inside and the food is great. The shrimp tacos were good. My friend raved about the Ramen so give it a try too.

It's sits in Chinatown, this place is so good wow!

Wow I am amazed by the transformation of this place. It used to be an older Chinese restaurant, and now is a very hip, sleek, and oh-so trendy hot spot. The ramen was delish! I am not a huge fan of ramen at all, especially because all the other ones I've tried in Honolulu were "supposedly" good but was so salty and a disappointment. Lucky Belly's Belly Bowl was soo good and the broth was made just right. The belly and smoke bacon made the ramen and broth even more flavorful, not overly salty like the other places. I liked the kurobuto sausage, it had a hint of sweetness to the savory bowl. I will definitely come back to try the other items on the menu!

Ramen was amazing! Get the one with ALL THE MEATS!!!

This is a great ramen place in Chinatown. The service is a little slow though. But the ramen itself is delicious! The oxtail in my gf's ramen is a must. The oxtail meat is so delicious.
