Millstream Chichester National Park

Millstream Chichester National Park is about 2 hours south of Karratha, and you will need to arrange a permit to take the road here as it's privately owned. The Karratha Visitor Centre can help with this though. The national park is quite literally a green, verdant oasis in a red, rocky desert. There's a beautiful river feeding permanent swimming holes - no crocodiles in these parts yet either! - and excellent hiking and camping opportunities.
