Really amazing shopping mall around Bukit bintang area thank you guys for invite me
St imbi is very near to berjaya times square. The shopping mall is great as well as its ambience. Nice!
When Times Square just opened, we liked to visit here every year. Here is very convenience as it is situated at the LRT station. This is 5-star hotel and the convention centre rarely grand and majestic. Luxury travellers and business travellers like to stay here.
I beg to differ about Mike Salmon's evaluation of the pool temperature. It felt fine to me, but I do agree with most of what he said about Berjaya Times Square Hotel.
I wish I liked the hotel more because I really like the blue sign looming over the city, and the view from the rooms inside, but the actual rooms and communal space-- outside of the lobby--feel dated. For this price you can probably find a better hotel, or you can stay somewhere cheaper for comparable quality.
I think the best part of the hotel is the pool. It stretches across the length of the mall it's on top of. And I also like the fact that there's a small basketball/handball court, you don't see that that often, and it seems like a simple thing to add to a hotel that can make a stay more fun.
To recap, Berjaya Times Square Hotel is in a good location in Bukit Bintang, but there's nothing particularly memorable about the rooms that would make me loyal to it.
In one word to describe it: 'SUPERB!!!'
Its a 10 storey high shopping center where one can find anything and everything. An amazing place for electronic items, latest CDs, clothes, shoes etc. A great place for girls to go out for shopping. There is also an indoor theme park (amusement park) which boasts an mind-blowing roller coaster ride amongst other rides which one can find in an outdoor park. I would recommend a visit to this theme park (though the charges have increase a bit now) and also the Sony Center at the ground level. Don't miss out on the latest blockbuster movie at IMAX. The last level (the top most) is dedicated entirely to food. A must visit whilst staying at Kuala Lumpur.
Getting there: Taxi, Monorail, Bus.
There is very few staff at the lobby when i was there. I roamed around freely while nobody actually acknowleges me which i feel like i am like an unwelcomed patron. The rooms are just like all the other hotel rooms. Nothing really special. The sauna room looks like it has never been used. One thing great about this place is because it is actually attached to Times Square which makes life easier to go around not wandering too far to get food and do a little shopping. There is swimming pool, gymnasium and all other amenities just like all the other hotel has but there is nothing that would actually want to make a person want to stay longer there.
This hotel is in a good location (which is along the Golden triangle area) and yes attached to a shopping mall;, The mall's motto is "A World of Entertainment Extravaganza," so it has Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC) and Berjaya Times Square Theme Park.
It's Malaysia largest indoor theme park which covers 133,000 square feet of rides, 14 specially-designed rides . Ampang Superbowl, for bowling enthusiasts is one of the largest bowling centers in the country, with 48 lanes.
I stayed here for a few times for business and chose the standard room. The room was clean, very dated room, but big.The thing on staying here is, Lifts are a bit of a problem; They are slow and not enough for the amount of rooms. The hotel staff are really good and lovely, everyone very helpful, and pleasant.
Breakfast was are really A-class standard buffet and they had an ala cart menu, but don't bother-because you can find outside hawkers, food court food are everywhere.
Pool appeared lovely but was cold in the water and very difficult to get a space in the sun or at all because some guests hold too many lounges for no reason.
Overall my experiences at the hotel were good but I'd recommend MELIA, CONCORDE HOTEL, instead, which is a better value!
This shopping centre is much older than others, such as Pavillion. This means there are far less people here! We had lunch our first day on the top floor at the local food court which was very removed from the food courts in Australia!! Was great food and very cheap! There is also a theme park within this centre, complete with roller-coaster. Unfortunately it was not running while we were there so we didn't get to ride it! :( we spent our mornings at Starbucks on the ground floor getting coffee and utilising the free wifi!
This hotel sucks no matter how cheap it is-opt for the Westin, Ritz or Mandarin Oriental. If this is price range, try the Sheraton Imperial instead.
Nice, comfy and accessible place.
