Once the crowd gets in the building it's packed. It with lots of space to move around. DJ spinning lots of old school with new school. Try to get on the guest list for free admission. Table service is available with lists of seating inside and outside where you can get a cool breeze when dancing.
If you are used to going to clubs wearing jeans and affliction, you better check yourself before you wreck yourself. This club has a very strict dress code, guys must wear collar shirt and dress shoes, no exceptions. After that though, you'll find a great dance floor with an awesome DJ on Friday nights (when I most frequent this establishment). It brings in a mixed crowd so don't expect all hip hop or all EDM, instead the music caters to all groups but the DJ does a fantastic job transitioning from one to another without losing the energy. The view is nice as it's on the rooftop but it's not as good as the Standard Hotel or Perch. This is definitely a place for dancing rather than just lounging, it's so loud you probably won't be able to have a meaningful conversation. Ask for Teo if you would like to be on the guestlist. Try getting there around 10pm to 11pm if you don't want to wait in line.
Make sure to wear dress shoes security are dicks!!!
If you been to Takami, a nice date place with a fantastic view, but on the other side is where the wild thing roam.. Elevate holds some of the ghetto-ist crowd and their securities are looking for some side pocket change from patrons.
Ive been here more than once and each time felt the same, Ghetto.
I dont suggest anyone coming here..but if you do make sure to dress appropriately as that might be the ONLY indication of making this place less-ghetto!
I also wonder If the security and the valet guys have a deal going on, because he suggested that we talk to valet to rent shoes!
I had so much fun at Elevate Lounge this past weekend! It's truly a beautiful lounge/club where you can see a great view of Downtown LA. The dress code here is pretty strict, so make sure you wear semi-formal attire. I went on Saturday night and thought the crowd was pretty diverse. The music was also great. I really liked how the DJ played such a great variety of music that included hip-hop, pop, EDM, etc. However, the drinks are pretty expensive, so plan ahead if you don't want your tab to be too high. Each drink costs $12 and above. I was with a lot of people for a friend's birthday, so we didn't mind paying for the drinks too much. Overall, I had a really good experience here.
