Housed in a restored 18th century building in Paris' 6th arrondissement, Le Prince Regent & Spa more than lives up to its title. It features chic and spacious studio apartments which are slick in design and cool in character. Splashed with complimentary pale, neutral and dark colours, and laden with high-end furniture, the smooth layout and décor give the rooms an ultra-modern sheen. The apartments range from 1-3 bedrooms. Each one has living and dining areas fitted with a kitchenette including a hob, an oven, a microwave, in addition to a dishwasher and washing machine. You also have free access to an indoor swimming pool and luxury spa centre - I had a great massage there and felt 10 years lighter. The surrounding area is populated by a fine array of bars, restaurants, and live music venues.
I absolutely loved this hotel and how accommodating the rooms were - it's like having your own apartment in Paris, this way you really get to feel like a local rather than a tourist! The rooms are really spacious and they offer a variety of room types; I think it's the perfect place for large families or big groups of people who would rather be together than in separate hotel rooms. The rooms are equipped with a flat screen TV, DVD player, WIFI and a tablet in each of the rooms. They also offer babysitting services and a cot on request. Breakfast is available for an extra cost but I preferred going out and taking a walk to the nearby boulangerie to get a croissant in the mornings. The staff were really lovely and great too, and they were able to help with airport connections and transportation.
Guests have free access to the spa (on appointment), a tranquil and calming place situated beneath the hotel - great for winding down after a long day exploring.
You really can't beat the location of this hotel, located in the 6eme arrondissement - moments away from Luxembourg gardens, the Pantheon, and right next to the Latin Quarter. Overall it's a fantastic place to stay and worth the cost!
Aside from the one staff member which I found a bit snooty, the apartment-style stay is worth it. For the same price as a hotel, you have your own kitchen, a TV, a tablet, an iphone dock if you want to listen to music, and plenty of clean modern space. They're just renovating the lobby hallway, but everything else looks new. They have an amazing spa which you can book an appointment at (massages not included in rent). It's an instant relief to walk into a place like this after walking along old deteriorating Parisian streets. You get the best of both worlds: the comfortable contemporary to go home to and the historic grounds because it's in the old part of Paris near the Pantheon and the Latin Quarter. The kitchen comes in handy especially! Just go to any market nearby and cook your food at home if you want to save a few bucks on restaurants. This place has all the works.
Hidden down a quaint little street in the 6ème arrondissement, I really enjoyed what a quiet environment this hotel provided whilst being at the heart of one of Paris's most beautiful historical areas. It's just a short walk from the Odéon theatre, the Luxembourg gardens, the Sorbonne and the Panthéon. The Résidence & Spa Le Prince Régent offers apartments rather than rooms, I found it great for getting a bit of independence on holiday. I loved the look of the 18th century building (and the fact that it's completely renovated inside!). The apartments are clean and comfortable and relatively big. The spa is a definite highlight, with a sleek design, a relaxing swimming pool, and all sorts of treatments available. This is really a top-notch spot and seems to be a well kept secret for now... The staff were just lovely too; really eager to help out. Breakfast is available for an extra 8 to 14 euros too. Make sure to check one of the independent cinemas in the area, or the cafés and restaurants all around.
