Enjoyed walking the streets, tasting the food and walking through all the shops
All kinds of little places to eat. Shops that sell paper lanterns, chop sticks and kimonos
We love Chinatown. Jammed with tourists and locals this place is a lot of fun. Great food can be found at every turn and plenty of things to keep everyone in the group interested
The Chinatown gate is quite lovely yet you may have some work getting to it and even more work trying to take a nice picture of it. The overall architecture in Chinatown is very interesting and makes for great photos.
This is a great meeting place before walking through the shops along Grant Street. The Chinatown Gate also provides an excellent photo opportunity.
The most photographed structure in Chinatown is undoubtedly the large Chinatown Gateway, also known as the Dragon Gate. It is located in Grant Street at the southern edge of Chinatown.
Always lots of people walking around; great spot for a photo! With that being said, it sucks getting through this area if you aren't a tourist since there's always people in your way.
Scenic. Great photos. Just between Union Square shopping area and Chinatown.
You won't really understand San Francisco, until you walk through Chinatown. Visit the fortune cookie factory, stop for tea, eat dim sum, and watch the men playing chess in the park or practicing tai chi. It is a short walk from Union Square and yet a world away.
Not too far from Union Square, nice change of pace and fun place to explore.
Maybe not as iconic as the Golden Gate Bridge and Lombard Street, but the gate to Chinatown on Grant is worth a visit if you're in the area. It's kind of a stark change from the brand clothing stores of the Financial District to the kitsch shops once you get past the gate.
Your typical tourist trap spot. This is the official entrance to the Chinatown district of San Francisco. Right across the street from Cafe de La Presse.
Decent but not a destination. Good to go through but Chinatown has a ton of tourists and is a bunch of overpriced stands. Check out the Chinatown which starts at Clement and 4th for a cooler experience. The 1 will take you there.
The entrance to China town from the Market street side. very nice. from here you can check out Chinatown.
The symbol of Chinatown. Be sure to pose for photos here before walking the streets of this large and famous neighborhood.
This is a memorable entrance to Chinatown.
Just like it was in Godzilla
