Paris, the city of love. After spending 3 days here, I still feel like I need to go back to get the true French feelings of this place. The people are not as bad as everyone makes it seem. Most speak English or at least understand what you're trying to get across to them if you don't speak French. There's so many museums and pieces of art throughout the city that make you feel like you're a part of the history. Paris is a stop you can't miss on your trip to France.
Expensive city in Europe - but woooorth it. Make sure to get out of the super touristy areas and find smaller resturants or bars. The local paris vibe is alot more fun.
Paris holds a special place in mine and my wife's hearts. It is the city in which we got engaged. I surprised her with a trip to Paris last winter, and she was stoked. She is a ballet dancer and she had always dreamed of visiting Paris, the "home" of ballet, especially contemporary ballet. She wanted to see Varsailles, which is where ballet became popular. We did all of that and more. We managed to tour the Louvre, the museums, the cathedrals, the Eiffel Tower, and we watched Swan Lake at the Opera Bastille on New Year's Eve (which is where I proposed). You cannot go wrong with a trip to Paris. It has something for everyone, it has history (and loads of it for people like me), it has culture, the arts, FOOD!!!, wine, amazing night life, awesome views, and around every corner is a photo opportunity.
Some would say you can’t rate Paris. I say they’re wrong! From the must-see artistic locations (personally I prefer the Musee D’Orsay) to the general ambience. Want to do it on a budget? Last time I visited my partner and I walked the city, taking in an occasional glass of wine and tray of meats at local cafes. Your Paris experience is what you make of it.
