How to feel at home

I stayed in the studio Cherry, clean and very comfortable because large, totally soundproofed, well furnished taking advantage of the spaces but lacking artificial lighting and comfortable sockets for recharging appliances and for the hairdryer, with good quality bed linen and bathroom, comfortable bed and choice of pillows, kitchenette equipped with almost everything (traditional and non-microwave oven, pre-war kettle and no coffee maker, dishwasher, detergents, sponges, dryer, dishes, dishes, cutlery), dressing room with washing machine and even iron and ironing board, spacious bathroom with walk-in shower and bidet but no dispenser for shampoo and shower (only for soap), small internal garden shared with the other apartments (not very pleasant detail), fully functional WIFI and TV to be updated with new HD channels. Nearby there is a small supermarket with prices from jewelers (as, moreover, in almost all the city), pizzerias, restaurants, ice cream parlors, bakery, as well as the beautiful historic center of Como and the pier for boats on the lake; It is also equidistant from the Como San Giovanni and Como Lago train station near the bus station (valid alternative to boats to reach the destinations on the lake). It is cheaper to book from the official site.

Good Stay.

A family group of 4 of us stayed here for 3 nights in late August.
Situated along a side street and contained within a private courtyard away from the street with the courtyard closed off at night by large old wooden doors, with access via a key to an old small wooden door facing the street.
We were in the Ultra Violet loft which was for up to 7 people on two floors, a double bed and a single sofa bed were on the upper sleeping area whist there were 2 fold down double sofa beds in the main living area. Main living area was bright and spacious and the kitchen was well equipped with everything you’d need. The bathroom was on the small side as was the shower, apart from that the apartment was clean and served our needs for the time we were there.

Modern stay in the old town

Nicely located in the old city, but not very far from the lake. The hotel has to register your car with the police, because Comoloft is in the limited traffic zone. We had a nice large clean room with a semiprivate garden. Entrance is difficult to impossible for the handicapped and wheelchair bound.

Terrible airconditioning

The apartment itself was fine - nice living area, kitchen, dining table, toilet, comfortable bed and a french terrasse.
But it was SO hot because the walls are pretty thick.
We turned on the “airconditioning”, which is a small machine standing on the floor. It was really bad for two reasons:
1) It barely produced any cold air. We had it on for our entire stay (4 days) even when we weren’t in the apartment and the temperature never came under 28 degrees (celcius).
2) It was SO loud! We had to keep it on during the night if we didn’t want to dehydrate completely, but we lost a lot of sleep due to the noise and we didn’t really enjoy being there. We couldn’t hear eachother speak if we were standing in opposite ends of the living room (10 meters apart).

Hidden gem

Second visit and just as good as the first .. going back next year. Excellent location , very clean and helpful staff - not easiest place to find by car and no on site parking but great access to rail network
