The regional capital of the main island of Chiloe, renowned for its palafitos (stilted houses painted in bright colours). Worth a visit, especially for some of the good fish restaurants down by the waterfront, though I prefer the peace and quiet of the countryside.
This is a wonderfully charming town on the second largest island in Patagonia - Isla de Chiloe. It has some great lodging, restaurants and a thriving art scene. It's central to a couple of gorgeous national parks.
Capital of the Isla Grande de Chiloe, a place of legends, a must when travelling in South Chile
