A beautiful coastal town that offers wonderful cafes and shops. Be sure to take a boat tour to explore the cliff sides and clear water.
Located in the most western point of France's Cote d' Azur and a half hour drive from Marseille, this is a glorious village. Backed up by mountains and the "Calanques de Cassis" limestone cliffs that drop straight into the sea forming inlets for wonderful swimming. The town is very attractive, especially at the port where little restaurants and cafes ring the harbor. I encourage you to try the bouillabaisse the traditional Provecal fish stew from Marseille.
Cassis is a small, charming town about 35 minutes from Marseilles. The "Calanques de Cassis" (limestone cliffs that drop down into the turquoise sea) are absolutely breathtaking. You can catch a boat tour near the marina, or explore them by kayak. The views are truly stunning.
Le petite Cassis, at the southernmost tip of France's Cote d'Azur is popular for a reason - it's simply tres magnifique! The waters of the Mediterranean here could well be those of the Caribbean. You'll be seduced by the sheltered inlets known as calanques that offer all sorts of opportunities for impropriety that the French joie de vivre is famous for.
