The end of the world, I arrived in Finisterre after 42 days walk across Spain on the Camino de Santiago. This is mile zero. I had a good long sit on the edge of the cliff and stared out to the Atlantic for hours.
Finisterre, or, "the end of the world" is a beautiful peninsula that was believed to be the end of the world before Columbus sailed across the Atlantic. Here you will find a quaint Galician community that speaks Spanish with a heavy Galician influence. There are 2 main stores on the island; as well, as 2 main beaches: one facing the turquoise cove, the other, a more rustic quiet beach facing the Atlantic. Here you will also find the final mile marker for the famous Camino De Santiago reading "0.0km", located at the very tip of the peninsula under the light house.
